GOD IS GOOD, ALL THE TIME!
My father in law was diagnosed with colon cancer in July this year, about 2 months ago..
It was a heart-breaking news, both to him and to us, his family..
Oh,how i admire his calmness in taking this bad news.. In fact, he was in such good spirit that he told me and my husband (his son) that, "i don't have to go for operation, don't really need it huh.. cos God already blessed me with such good long years of good life.. Even if i live another 2 years is good enough".. He is 86 years old..
My father-in-law is a great provider for the whole family..not only his children, but also provided for his grandchildren's studies in overseas..He is a very good investor.. When he was young he invested in properties and lands that no one really interested in during those times.. Yet now, those lands that "nobody wanted" have turned out to be so valuable..
He used to drive in a four-wheel drive..even when he was down with this cancer, he was having diarrhea for 2 months, yet he still drove around.. His eye sight is still very good, he does not need to wear glasses..
The above are some of God's amazing blessings in his life..
About 6 years ago, he was diagnosed with prostate cancer.. He was not a believer of Jesus yet then.. So when we (me, my husband and his sisters who are Christians) got to know about this bad news, the only concern we had was his salvation..
But he is such a man who is so capable, so healthy and strong..who is not lack of anything...a very china-man thinking person.. We really struggled as in "how to tell him about JESUS and GOD'S LOVE?"..
We could only pray for him in our own quiet times..
Then on that Friday night, six years ago, as we drove back to my husband hometown in Port Dickson(PD), on the way, we could only pray in the spirit, we prayed in tongues..
When we reached PD, he had gone into his room as we knew that he was very down with that sad news.. My husband told God that no matter what he would tell his dad about JESUS.. We waited till 1200 midnight, my father in law did not come out... And so we went back to our room, and we prayed in tongues for 1++ hour.. We cried to JESUS, we prayed until there was no words anymore and the only thing we could do was just pray in tongues..
The next morning, my father in law woke up very early and drove to his daughter's(my sister in law) house.. And the minute he stepped into her house he said, "gather everybody around tonight, i have very important thing to annouce".. Then my sister in law wanted to console him by telling him about a herbal medicine which may help his condition.. Instead, he put
that aside and went on, "Last night, i was trying to sleep..but i could not..a voice told me that i must believe in JESUS, i must be baptised, and JESUS will healed me!".. Then he left and was on the way back to home.. That was when my sister-in-law called and i was the one who answered the phone call, and my sister-in-law related the whole story to me..
Then, when my father-in-law came home, my husband and i were in the living room.. And the minute he came in, my husband asked, "Pa, are u ok?".. He said, "yes, i'm ok.. Last night i could not sleep,a voice told me that i must believe in JESUS, and i must be baptised, and JESUS will heal me"..
Oh, you just cannot imagine how we felt then.. i was in tears..just so in awe of GOD'S AMAZING GRACE & LOVE...
My husband had the priviledge not only he lead his dad through the prayers of salvation, but he also helped with a pastor in baptising his dad at the Port Dickson sea.
That day, after leading him in the sinner's prayer, we prayed for healing of his cancer straight away..
Two weeks later, he had to go for a follow-up check-up.. His PSA reading was 22.5 at the first check-up. And when he went for his follow-up, the doctor tried to comfort him that due to his age (he was 80 then), he may not respond well to the medication.. Doctor said some people respond but some do not and tried to prepare him for the worst.. And he came home with
some medication and was given injection.
Another week passed, and he ahd to go for his test result.. And when he reached there, the doctor told him, "Mr.Yeoh, your PSA has dropped to 5.2! What did you take?" And so we knew, it was PURELY THE MIRACULOUS HEALING OF JESUS!! HALLELUJAH!! GLORY TO OUR MOST HIGH GOD AND KING!
That was 6 years ago.. and father in law was having excellent good health all the time..until 2 months ago..he was diagnosed with colon cancer..
When he went for his check-up, the doctor in Seremban recommended Dr.Samuel Tay. And immediately Dr. Tay said had to be operated immediately, due to bloockage caused by the tumor.. And Dr.Tay was very surprised that my father in law had prostate cancer before! Cos he said there was no trace of it.. and we knew that this colon cancer was not a re-curr..
His operation date was set on 25Aug06 afternoon.. I started to sms and sent out email to my worship team, intercessory team, my prayer partner my MAS Christian Fellowship group, my aunt, my brother and sisters to keep him inprayers.. My aunt asked me what's the name of the surgeon, and when i told her it's Dr.Samuel Tay.. She sms me back "He is the best colon surgeon in Malaysia. and he is a Christian. Your FIL is in good hands".. Our hearts were filled with so much warmth and joy.. Then my sister in law's friend also told her that Dr.Tay had witnessed to her friend's dad before her dad passed away.. So we knew that my father-in-law was in good Hands of God,Who had sent the best surgeon to us, which we did not even knwo about it..
And because of the tumor had affected part of the bladder, a urologist was consulted.. The whole operation took about almost 7 hours.. My hubby and i waited outside the operating theatre.. When he was being rolled in to the OT, i just held my father in law's hands and told him "Father, don't worry, it will be ok.. Just keep thinking of JESUS.. and call HIS NAME".. my father in law nodded his head..
When he was out of OT, and when in ICU.. he was conscious about his surrounding.. Dr.Tay came to see and told us that he had removed the whole tumor.. and it was a success.. he said, when after cutting the intestines, after joining back, there was no blood flow, so he ahd to cut again and rejoin it..and 1/3 of his bladder was removed as the tumor touched the bladder..
My father in law's heartbeat, BP, respiratory were all very good.. But the only problem was there was no urine flow to the urine-bag.. So the urologist came to tell us that he had to insert a stem through the urinary tract up till his kidney.. And he said he was very surprised this happened, it was the first time.
So again, i sms to my prayer groups to pray.. And one of my friend told me that Dr. Lim Chei Seng the urologist is a man who loves GOD, he is a christian! Again, we knew that it was the Divine leading of GOD'S HANDS upon my father in law..
The minor operation of insertion went on smoothly.. Praise The LORD!
My father in law was discharged to normal ward on the 29Aug06.. It such a speedy recovery for him!
Then in the ward, as he was talking to us.. He said "During the operation, he saw two men.. dressed very smartly.. in all white.. were standing near the doctors and directing them to do the operation".. My father in law said, "God the Father and God the Son".. Then tears just flowed down his cheek.. I wiped away his tears, and i asked him again, "they were in all
white?".. He said nodded his head,"yes.." and again tears flowed down his cheek.. I knew then that GOD has touched him...
I knew that those two "men" were sent by GOD... they may be angels..
My father in law had a spiritual encouter with JESUS 6 years ago.. he came to the saving grace of GOD through such amazing spiritual encounter with GOD..and i am not surprised that during this colon operation he had another encounter again...!!!
GOD IS GOOD..ALL THE TIME..!!! Thinking of how JESUS had personnally came to touch my father in law brought tears to my eyes.. I can't help but just to say, "THANK YOU JESUS.. THANK YOU SO SO SO SOMUCH JESUS.."
And i know it is also because of all the faithful prayers of HIS saints..all of you who had stood alongside me and my husband in praying for my father in law.. THANK YOU so much my dear friends.. Your prayers meant a lot to us..
My father in law was discharged and went back hometown on the 08Sept06. He only stayed in the hospital for 15days for such a major operation..
During his operation, there was one song kept ringing in my heart:
I worship You
JESUS i worship You
For YOu alone are Holy
You alone are GOD
You alone are Worthy
Of the longing of my heart..
This song kept ringing in my heart and there was such tremendous PEACE of GOD in my heart...
ALL GLORY TO JESUS, OUR SAVIOUR, OUR HEALER, OUR PEACE, OUR JOY..AND OUR GLORIOUS KING WITH PERFECT LOVE...
